* '''TREASURER:''' The chief financial andaccounting officer of ISCA shall have custodyof all funds and securities, shall deposit allmonies and other valuable effects in the nameand to the credit of the Association, and shallkeep full and accurate records and books ofaccount of the Association. The Treasurer shallperform these duties when requested by theBoard of Directors or the President, includingpreparation of any accounting of financialtransactions or proposed budget for ISCA. As mentioned above, members choose four (4) people to serveas the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors chooseswho will serve the board as officers. In most cases, the boardwill select themselves for each office. (As has been stronglyrecommended by our attorneys.) This election will conclude atthe annual business meeting virtually during this year’s annualconference. The new term will begin November 20, 2020 andlast until the next annual conference in November, 2021, inLas Vegas, NV. Other than President and Vice President, mostof these positions are a minimal investment of your time,roughly a total of 5-15 hours a month (though this year hasseen a significant increase in time investment). Most of theresponsibility of the board members comes into play at theannual conference. These responsibilities include helping atregistration and overall assistance at the event. Throughoutthe year, the President will call on the board members forassistance in certain projects, including management of socialmedia posts, moderating ISCA forums, pursuing potentialsponsorships,and overall decisions of the organization.Now that you’re interested in the prospect of supporting thistremendous organization of ours, here’s what you do to submityour nomination: Submit your nominations on the Facebook page in the nominationsthread. You can nominate yourself (which is acceptedand encouraged) or someone you think would meet the aboverequirements. Another member must second your nominationfor the nominee to be considered. Once nominated, andseconded, nominees must contact ISCA Secretary Erik Roadfeldtat erikroadfeldt@caricature.org. Nominations must be confirmed no later than October 24, 2020to qualify for the 2020-2021 election. Virtual ballots will be deliveredto members via email or similar means. Those who stillwish to submit a physical ballot can request one by contactingISCA manager CeCe Holt by email (manager@caricature.org)or by post (710 NE 100 Terrace, Kansas City, MO 64155,USA). In any case, votes must be cast by November 18, 2020,prior to the ISCA business meeting (time TBA). The top four(4) members receiving the most votes will become boardmembers.
