Article Transcript

Greetings, ISCA! The San Diego convention was a GREAT one, thanks to all of you who attended! I had a lot of members come up to me after the con and say it was one of the best they had attended, and I attribute that to our attendees.

It was great to see old friends and make some new ones. And thank you to our Guest of Honor, David Boudreau, as well as our other speakers Dom Bianchi, Stephen Silver, Court Jones, Beau Hufford, Stephen Fishwick, Lauren Hanley-Brady/California Lawyers for the Arts and Nasrin Sheyki.

Congratulations to all of our winners in San Diego, and to our newest Golden Nosey winner, Daniel Stieglitz! It was a treat to be able to watch Daniel’s piece shape up over the course of the week. And for those of you who wish you could have his piece on your wall, we’ll soon be offering prints of “The San Diego Golden Nosey Rush” on our website!

I’m happy to welcome our new board members, Manny Avetisyan, Ben Bloss and Erik Roadfeldt, who will be joining me and our VPs Cory Lally and Tom Faraci. They’ve already been throwing out some really great ideas that we’re looking to implement in 2019! We’re really excited with the energy that these new board members are bringing to the table.

If you haven’t heard, mark your calendars, because our 2019 convention will be held at the Guesthouse at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee November 17-22. This is easily one of the most beautiful hotels ISCA has been to, and it’s going to be a fantastic week. We’re currently reaching out to guest speakers and hope to be announcing our Guest of Honor soon.
