Article Transcript
Welcome to another post-convention issue of Exaggerated Features. First of all, thanks to everyone who was able to participate in this year’s annual convention. Every year seems to raise the bar from the previous year and this year was no exception. It was great to be able to meet so many of you in person instead of just online.
Congratulations to all the winners! Thank you so much to Tom Brennan for stepping in once again and taking photos of all of the artwork that fills this issue. Each year, there are so many photos taken that only a fraction make it to the printed page of this magazine. Keep an eye out for the Facebook gallery where I will be posting photos of all artwork along with winners’ photos, including some outtakes which didn’t quite work for the final layout. Also, welcome to our three new board members. They join the three returning members who are donating their time to keep this organization running smoothly and growing into the future. See page 3 for a recap of all the new officers.
We do have one non-convention article. Several of our members use their artistic abilities in other ways besides the usual party or retail gig. A few of our members paint windows for various businesses. Teresa “Okie Artist” Farrington steps up to do the step-by-step of her process. And of course, we save the best for last, the yearly financials!
Just a reminder that the next two issues will be coming via email link, with the next printed issue being the PreCon Issue arriving in mailboxes in early October. Hope you enjoy this issue!
