Article Transcript
Welcome to another post-convention issue of the Exaggerated Features magazine, recapping the 2017 annual convention.
Consider it a memento for all of those who were lucky enough to attend and a glimpse into the week for those who were unable to be there, like me. Currently, the board is working on a way to make videos of some of the convention seminars from this past convention available to members. Keep a lookout in future issues of the EF for when those will be made available.
Special shoutout to the board and CeCe for putting on another great convention, and Tom Brennan for graciously stepping in and taking photos in my absence. This issue relies on lots of photos to make it happen and I could not have done it without you! Congratulations to all the winners and welcome to our newest board member, A.J. Jensen.
Though most of this issue focuses on the convention, we do have a couple of articles that don’t. Tom Faraci and Derek Brennan cover the ISCA-sponsored rock ‘n roll art show, fellow member Sam King Davis tells of his life as an American artist living in Prague, and this year’s Texas Fair Comic has been tackled by two new contributors, as Celestia Ward and Emily Byrne have decided to take a break from the carnie life, perhaps forever! And of course, we have the yearly financials prepared by our manager, CeCe. Please let her know if you have any questions about it. Just a reminder that the next two issues will be available for download or online viewing only and will not be printed. This allows us bring you more interactive issues complete with audio and video in a timely manner. The printed issues take about three weeks from when the final files are finished until the printed product starts first arriving in mailboxes.
I am currently accepting articles and articles with videos for our next two issues. Have an idea? Let me know!
