Some weeks ago, Frankfurt was the
place to be for European caricature
artists. 25 artists from 7 European
countries met between skyscrapers to
elect the best of the best of the best in
seven different categories. The Frankfurt
Minicon was organized by Marcel
Bender, his wife Irina and the amazing
new talent Thomas “Tommes” Jahn.
Thomas also presented all competitions
and gave great presentations about
the fantastic drawing software Manga
Studio as well as “A Caricaturist’s Guide
to Yoga.” Backache during and after a
gig is now history!
Guest speaker Bernd Schoenebaum,
the manager of Sebastian Krüger, explained
how to promote your artwork
and artistic service in a very professional
way. Bernd stayed a whole day
and evening, so all participants had the
chance to get advice from him.
Guido Moeller from Wacom Europe
was the second speaker of this Minicon.
He gave a helpful presentation about
improving your digital workflow and
also about new released products of
Wacom.
But not only profesional aspects were
part of this Minicon. The group had
tons of fun after work in the numerous
pubs and restaurants close to the Hotel
Cult, where the Minicon took place. Traditional
Hessian food and drinks were
favored.
