I have drawn caricatures for 15 years and have been an NCN/ISCA member since 2006. I shave with a straight razor, ride a motorcycle and occasionaly take 11 items through the 10 item express lane. After attending many conventions, I’ve seen the vast amount of work the board does to make the organization run smoothly. I feel I can help the organization continue in the direction it is moving. I will also relentlessly lobby for John K. as a guest speaker. All the people running would make great board members. So regardless of whom you vote for the board, ISCA will be in good hands.

Hello, ISCA! Let me first say that I'm honored to have been nominated. I love the work that the current board is doing, and it would be my goal to build upon their progress in order to make the organization accessible and enjoyable for as many people as possible. I've been a member since 2010, and this year I will be attending my sixth consecutive convention. From 2009-2014 I drew caricatures for Kaman's Art Shoppes at Cedar Point, Six Flags Great Adventure, and Busch Gardens Tampa. In 2013, I was caricature supervisor at Cedar Point (and ISCA's Art Fight Champion). These days you can find me on the festival circuit with In Your Face Creative Studios or working on my documentary, American Caricature.

Hey, everyone! Just a bit about me... I've been drawing caricatures professionally for 14 years, first at theme parks while in high school and college (for business management and marketing) and then at a number of fairs. Currently, I run my own art concession company, "The California Boys," which got its start with drawing caricatures on the streets of NYC! In New York City , I had the awesome opportunity to be on the board of a non-profit organization called "The Street Vendor Project." We helped organize and represent hundreds of street vendors across the city, financially, legally, and helped in any way we could. We successfully ran the organization while also introducing two bills into city council, which I am proud to say are now NYC law! It would be my absolute pleasure to bring these experiences to a point as an ISCA board member. Most directly, I'd like to bring my caricature experiences and personal education to help expand ISCA's presence outside of just the convention. Not only to the caricature community, through providing more services to artists on a yearly basis, but also taking a more active role representing caricatures in the public eye. Secondly, but just as importantly, to help manage with the board on larger objectives, plans, and ideas that work toward creating a better ISCA experience for old, current, and new members alike. Hopefully, we can work together to make ISCA even better than it already is! Thanks for your consideration!

Hey, ISCA! 2015 has been a great year for the organization, and I’ve enjoyed learning the ropes of the board and what needs to be done behind the scenes to keep ISCA running strong. A lot of what I’ve done this year has been behind the scenes (like getting the website back up and running this year when it was being attacked by spammers) along with some things we have in the works that we’re not quite ready to announce just yet. Most likely what you’ve seen from me has been running the ISCA Facebook contest, which we’ve turned into a bi-monthly contest. This has allowed for more particpation and doubled the number of chances you’ve had to win and get your entry for the big competition for a FREE One Year Membership! Moving forward, we have some more big stuff planned to help continue to make ISCA great, and I would be honored if you chose me to continue serving on the Board of Directors for ISCA. See you all at the Kalahari!

When I got into caricatures, I had no idea that it would become my career and my passion, and the ISCA organization was an integral part in that. Through this organization, I have been fortunate enough to meet and work alongside artists that I admire and learn from their processes and artwork and all the while pushing myself to be even more awesome. I have been connected to people from around the world and have made lifelong friends and colleagues thanks to the convention. It has easily become my favorite part of the year, and all of you who come make each year an unforgettable and amazing experience. All of that is to say, I am so honored to accept a nomination to be on the board for ISCA. I have seen it change in my time attending and I would love the opportunity to be an integral part of making that experience amazing for everyone. For example, I would like to help make voting an easier and more understandable process. Also, the interaction aspect of the convention has always been my favorite part and I would like to help facilitate more of those types of scenarios within the competition hall to help those late nights, and days, get just a little more silly, or productive, or both! This year, I’m looking forward to giving back to the ISCA convention by running/helping with some seminars that I know you will love. If you make me part of the board, I will not only bring my own thoughts and endless amounts of enthusiasm, but I will be all ears to your input as well. I love you all!

Serving as Vice President and being on the board for the past 2 years has been a truly amazing experience. When I set out to join, I had a lot of things I wanted to bring to ISCA, and we have done a lot in just a few short years. But even still, the major things on my list have remained as follows: Bring prestige and respect to the organization and provide an amazing product and value to every single member. While on the board, I have been involved with the rebranding of the organization and our magazine, the growth of our social media presence, including the Facebook group, member’s challenge, Iscast, Instagram and YouTube, and helping Debbo with our Exaggerated Features Magazine. We also brought on our amazing new business manager CeCe to help us manage the organization. We have been working on putting our touches on every single aspect of the convention, redesigning the awards as well as enhancing the ceremony and presentation. I also have several behind-the-scenes projects involving creating programs, databases, and templates for next-generation board members to use and learn from as well as bringing in sponsors and donations to ISCA. It would be my pleasure to serve you again and help create one of the strongest boards so that we can provide the best product we can to all of our members we love so much! In short, my work here is not done yet, and I’m excited for the things to come in 2016!
